ok like if i bought a full head piece and straigtend it and dyed it like wild colors and extented my black hair out with like bright colors how would it look?and would it work and i am talkin about the clip in fulll head pieces=)

Try www.hairinaminute.com they have clip extensions in blue, hot pink, red, purple etc. All you have to do is clip them in wherever you want them. When you don't feel like wearing them just take them out. It is human hair so you can blow dry and curl them. They cost around $3.99. Rock On!

I've never have, but a friend of mine did. She liked them at frirst, but got sick of how they felt. She didn't have them weaved with her own hair, but glued to the scalp instead. That was cheaper, but made her head feel bumpy. No one noticed but her, she had them removed about a week later. I thought it looked good on her tho.

I recommend that you get clip extensions. They are fast and easy to put in so you don't have to spend money at a salon. All you do is section your own hair and put in the extensions then snap the clips shut. They are very secure and wont fall out. They can stay in your hair for as long as you want them, but because they are so easy to insert and remove, I would take them out at night and put them in only when you want. Don't get any extensions that involves, glues, wax or any tools you wouldn't normally put near your head. Clip extensions vary in price so you will have to shop around. yes her ponytail at the back is extensions. they used bobby pins to hold up her bouffant at the front and the probably used clip in extensions to help her achieve the length. the clipped it in the middle section of her hair so that it'll blend in with her real hair once its tied up. these kinds of extensions are like the ken paves/jessica simpson kinds, which make use of real hair!

if I'm am correct its the pic with her with a poof on top and a pony tail. The style actually has a name i dont know it. Well the style is easy. She probably doesn't have an extension in the front cause she has long hair but the extension for you would probably be a pony tail. Then if you dont have a lot of hair on top then your stylist would probably glue or use another technique to put a small track in the front of your head covered by your bangs of course. then use hair spray and a comb to give it volume, creating a poof effect. Then they would attach a pony tail to your hair by first putting your hair in a pony tail then using a draw string pony tail, a clip on pony tail, or just a regurlar peace of weave. Its an easy style even with a weave.

No.. If you are considering a sew in the only thing you need to do is wash your hair and condition it. Your hair will be braided and the extensions sewn to the braids, so depending on the hairstyle only a portion, if any, of your hair will be seen.

My hairdresser always says to never relax your hair before getting a weave because it will cause it to break off. If your going to the salon, then they should be able to work with whatever you have(you hair). But if your doing it at home then you should just apply the weave where you want and use a flat iron or hot comb to straighting ur own hair to blend in with the weave.

If you are getting hair sewn in, you only straighten the hair that is going to be showing, thats if the weave that you are getting sewn is straight hair. The resr of the hair is going to be braided, so that doesn't need to be straighten

Yes JcPenney Salon does do extensions, weave, glue, and fusion. Lol, well I work at JcPenney Salon. Anyways, it totally varies, that's why we offer a free consultation. We have 3 different levels of hairstylists, each with a different price range. There is a stylist, senior stylist, and a master stylist. Obviously the master is the most expensive.

So anyways, depending on what you are getting, and the method of application, you are looking to spend at least a $100 to $200. If you get them weaved in, and a full weave, then you are looking to spend about $400, but that's for the San Fran bay area...could be cheaper where you live. If you get a half weave, like just a few tracks, then you are looking to spend about $200. But again, totally depends on the stylist and the method. JcPenney does offer the fusion method, but that will cost at least $500-$700 for a full head of hair.

Also, you have to buy your own hair, the stylist can get it for you, but it will cost about $100-$200 for a full head of hair, and $50-$100 for a half weave. Make sure you go to a good hair supply store, one that carries human hair so you can style it. Have them match the extensions to your hair, indoors and out in the sun.

As for time, you are looking to be there about 2 hours to 4 hours, depends on how many tacks you are getting.

Do you have a JcPenney Salon picked out? You should call them and schedule a consultation. Make sure that you go with someone that has lots of experience with extensions so you won't regret it later because they were put in improperly.

i prob dont live any where near you but i can tell you dont get the hair extensions where they wax hair to your natural hair its a waste they mat easier and hurt like hell ask for the draw metal clips they attact to your hair are as strong as and when they start to grow out you can get them pull back up all again my friends cost her $800(aud) which is cheeper than the wax extensions

theres a shop where i live and in leeds called Xtras, and they do pretty good hair extensions. you can get thick, one stip ones for 鎷?, that are about 15 or 18 inches? you have to sew the clip in yurself but they sell them too. also, they sell sets with quite a few thick one strips in, for either thirtyfive or forty pounds

if there isnt an xtras where you live try going to your local market, they always have hair extension shops.

i wouldnt recommend buying online/from a salon. wayyyyy too expensive :)

Hi, i have just had real hair hair extensions (the glue in ones), I took them out after a month and that was because they were really annoying me. I never tried colouring them but my hairdresser advised me that I could safely colour them but just leave the dye on for double the time that you would on natural hair. I think nice and easy is 20 mins or something so just leave it on for 40. I don't think it will ruin the glue bonds but it may cause them to slide as the dye has the texture of conditioner.

I had extentions and they were real hair, too. Basically, I would never recommend getting them to anyone. They completely ruined my hair.

I also tried dying them and it wouldn't work. I was pissed that after spending all that money that they ruined my hair. I was told I could dye them, I tried and it didn't work. I was told I could curl them, but after a WEEK, I couldn't do ANYTHING with them.

I'll never get extentions again.

Nine times out of ten you really don't need to straighten your hair to apply the hair if you mold all your hair down and apply the tracks on top of the hair,just remember to leave a little of the front out to cover the track in the front.

i am in the same position. i talked it through with my hair dresser. the best option was to have clip in extensions. you can clip them in just under the layers of your hair. its quick and easy. That way you don't have to keep paying to have them redone and your hair will not get damaged. They last roughly a year if you look after them and i had 2 strips which makes my hair long and thick looking and everyone thought it was real. this only costy 鎷?0. hope thats some help

Remember - you cannot put any heat on them or they will melt.

Just be careful if they want more than one person to work on you. If they have done it several times together then great. If you do the extensions which is very expensive to begin with because you would want to get one that is human hair. If you are going to do this, you want it to look right and good.

You glue to your scalp or at the root of your hair. The glue has been known to cause breakage to the natural hair so be careful with it. Also, wearing the tracks in your hair is nerve racking. You have to worry about it sliding off or a track is showing. You have to constantly check it when there are other things to do and think about.

Get a weave cap where your hair is showing in the front and you just comb/blend your hair into the weave cap part that is covering 3/4 of your hair. Very convenient and alot of times you cannot tell.

If you do the weave cap make sure you pick one that matches your hair so it will blend and look nice. This is safe and fun and you can get a couple of styles and change up.

Take someone with you to help you to get the right one. The people in the beauty supply will know how to help you also. I used to wear these until I decided to go natural and wear my hair locked.

It depends on how you want to style your hair. Using glue can be very tricky. It's best if you get someone to help you to make sure that the glued tracks are being applied to your scalp and not your hair. If the glue gets on your hair, you can pull the hair out when trying to remove it. It's not a hard process at all, I just wouldn't advise that you attempt this on your own unless you have eyes in the back of your head :)

It's very difficult to guide you without knowing how you wear your hair. For example, I have done this wearing my hair straight back, and my goal was to add length. I sectioned about a 1/4 of an inch of my natural hair beginning at the nape of my hair line. You measure the weave from left to right of the row that you just sectioned off before cutting to make sure it is the right size and will blend properly. The fit is very important if you want it to blend properly. After cutting the proper size, you add a minimal amount of glue on to the track of the weave. Be careful not to apply to much glue that will spread onto your hair when apply to the scalp. All you will need is a thin layer going all the way across. Press the track on to the scalp of the hair beginning from left to right or side to side, making sure that your hand is pressing firmly at your beginning point and slide across to the other side of your hair. Once the track is secured down on the scalp with the glue, spray "Pump it up" styling spritz on top of the track (not the hair) and blow it dry with a hand held dryer for about 10 seconds. This will allow the glue to adhere properly and prevent slippage. Do not apply any oil to the hair before adding the extensions. This will cause slippage. Part another section of your hair and repeat this process up the front of your hair, or until you get the desired result you are looking for. Make sure to leave the hair out in the front to cover your tracks. Also, buying the proper hair is another issue. It is ok to ask for help in helping you select the correct type of hair to blend in.

Hair extensions are fairly costly. It depends on your 1) hair length and color of your hair 2) whether do you require the salon's hair extensions of you have your own hair extension source and 3) the method of hair extensions that you choose. Frankly, I have done hair extensions before when I wanted to extend my fringe.

To cut costs, if possible, provide the salon with your own hair extensions. If that is possible, make sure your hair extensions are almost similar in color and texture to your natural hair. Most of the extensions cost a bomb because the clients don't have their own hair extension soure.

Of course, the longer your hair, the costlier the extensions are.

Also, it depends on which type of hair extensions method you are going for. There are many types such as including braiding, weaving, bonding, clip-ons, heat shrink tubing, metal tubing and adhesive based fusion. Braiding and weaving is normally for black ethnic hair and the rest are suitable for all types of hair. I chose the adhesive based fusion for my hair extensions previously because it's the best method, it doesn't damage your natural hair and it can withstand chemical processes on your hair. Of course, it's more expensive than the rest.

Tell you what. Pop by your salon the next time round, get a hair wash and casually ask them how much it costs to get hair extensions for you and let them examine your hair type and your hair length. Get their professional advice and cost estimation then decide are you still keen on doing the hair extensions. This way, you get a nice hair wash and a blow dry, while you get consultation from your stylist :)

I bought some they cost me about $70 and they are amazing! Real hair which is really good condition and soft, they are really long and enough for a full head.

This is funny. Please don't be offended but I just heard someone talk about the differences between "weaves" and "hair extensions" and it was said that 'blacks' wear weaves and 'whites' wear extensions.

Anyway - go to your local hair salon. Most of the time, they are the main contact for the kind of hair and type of hair you want. If your hair is long and curly, you would not want to go out and purchase hair on your own. Or if you are looking at specific types of colors - you need a professional to match the colors and texture of hair.

If this is your first time - check the phone book for stylists in your community who are EXPERIENCED at placing hair extentions in the hair. Some people use glue and others sew or weave the hair pieces into the head. You need someone who is willing to consult with you and allow you to ask questions until you are satisfied.

I know a caucasian friend who tried extensions and did not get human hair- and found that the fake hair frizzed up, pulled up and basically tore her hair from the scalp almost - just to get it out.

The processing has become more simplified (glue) and even more complex (Oprah, Paris), but expensive.

Make sure you are happy - ask around - see some 'real' hair that you can touch and then make your decision.

I get them for my girls from a market in Nottingham (UK) and we pay about 鎷?5 for a pack which will do about 5 full heads, you can get them on the internet but its best to go in person to get a really good colour match. If you can ever afford it tho get real extensions(BONDED ONES LIKE RACOON) done at a good reputable salon who have been doing them for many years. I have had them 3 x over the past 10 years and took them out 2 weeks ago. My hair is in fantastic condition (too good in fact) and has grown loads. They are initally expensive (ish) about 鎷?50 for a full head but then the maintenance costs are really quite low at about 鎷?5 every 6 weeks and they really are the business.Just make sure you go to a good salon and you will be fine, they will not do your own hair any damage as long as you are careful and have your regular maintenance.

I get my daughters the glue in wefts (as i mentioned above) and they are really good and last about 3 washes before they need putting in again. Whichever way you go good luck and enjoy your lovely new long locks x

i recommend getting the clipons because they last however long you want them to but i also recommend you get human hair because that way you will be able to straighten or curl you name it. there really is no bad side just dont let the clips show ..lol.....i always got mines for color because my mom doesnt let me dye my hair or highlights so i get mine as highlights but most people get them to have longer hair......

Hate to break it to you hunn but there are many bad sides to extensions.They cost like 鎷?00 pounds to get them done proffesionally and they look really fake if you dont. Also you cant wash, straighten, blow dry curl or style them at all you just have to wash your real hair. I would suggest you to not get them at all because there are so many bad sides ^^^ but if you want them and are prepared to take the trouble of them then get them because in the end its your desicision! ]

you mean like braided extentions or a weave.. if you want to get braided extentions like single braids.. you can learn to do it yourself.. at wallmart (in canada) they sell the kanakolen braid hair for like 2 dollars.. on youtube theres this person on there that teaches you how to braid it in yourself.. I saw some very nice "remy " human hair extentions @ cosmoprof for a pretty good price, they are clip-ins and close to my hair color, but my hair is very thin and very fine ( like, a babys hair... really...) and I and I am wondering if it would look wierd on me, or if I could just back comb my hair to add volume and pull it off. i have some hair extensions that are clip in ones, and i think they're alot easier to handle than real ones. The hair comes in long strips, it is real and you can cut it to the width you require put your clips on and put it in, you can have as many strips in your hair as you like. the clips aren't uncomfortable and when you wanna take them out you CAN take them out, it makes it easier when you wash your hair or maybe you just wont feel like wearing them one day. they're also great for people who want extensions, but they dont know what it will feel like to have all this hair all of a sudden, as alot of people do get extensions pay out loads of money then decide they dont want them. :)

you can get good cheap realistic ones in sallys they just clip in at the root in under a layer of your own hair, but if your hair is realy short they wouldnt be suitable, i use thm every weekend, they come in all colours there is even two tone ones.

Ive had both, and it really depends on how you get them put in if you wanna know which on is better, or is going to last the longest. if you get real hair, at least you know that its the real deal. Fake har also tends to break apart more due to shampo usage.

If you plan on leaving the extensions in for awhile human hair is better because it looks more natural and it can be styled just like your own hair. If you are need extensions for a special occasions you can get away with synthetic ones but you cannot style them with heat. I hope that helps.

I looked at those... The Jessica Simpson (tm) Brand extentions were VERY expensive, and not very good quality... There are other brands you will find for somewhat less at hair stores like Sally or Fashion Tree, but they are also not difficult to make.
