Can I dye my hair extentions?

I'm not sure if its made of real hair. its the jessica simpson's hairuwear extentions, they're 80 bucks. i dyed my hair black a while ago so i bought them in black but then the dye washed out and my hair is light brown again. i never even got to wear the extentions! i don't wanna dye my hair again so i was wondering if i could dye the extentions brown. and if i can't dye them can i henna them?

I had glue in extensions and I dyed them pink to put in my hair.

But it fades like instantly and the color comes off easy.

In all honesty it doesnt really work.

no you cant you must leave them alone, all extentions should be real hair but a lot of them is hair that has already been chemically treated and you dont know with what, so if you were to touch them with dye then you are going to ruin them and chances are they wont come out the color that you are going for..... henna is bad news.... very very bad news, if you were to come into my salon and have put henna in your hair i wouldnt be able to color it until your hair was grown out or cut off...... take back the extentions if you have never worn them then there should be no problem, it is too much money to waste, inplus they look amazing when they are put in and match properly.....

Google them and see if they can be colored, but the thing is that you will have to bleach them first then color it to the color you want it. Color DOES NOT lift color and usually hair extensions are already colored to the desired color, and bleaching them then coloring over it might ruin them. You might end up having to buy new ones. Oh and henna won't lift out the color either.

The Jessica Simpson hair extensions that are 80 are made of synthetic fiber. They cannot be dyed, or hennaed. This girl named Katie Bair who is a wig maker sells synthetic wig dye and that will dye this synthetic stuff. BUT it will not lighten it- it will only work on very very light wigs- blonde and such.
