I'm thinking of having hair extentions what do u reckon are the best! glue in one;s or sew in o

That depends on your pain threshold. I'm a liscenced cosmetologist in Michigan and have performed both services. Sew in extensions, though longer lasting, put a significant amount of strain on the scalp. Many people find the pain to be a little too much for sleeping and showering. It is also a lengthy procedure, taking anywhere from 3 to 10 hours depending on method and expertise of the person performing the service. Traditional sew in also may lead to problems such as traction alopecia (balding from too much pulling on scalp). They still require special shampoo and condioner, and need to be touched up about every 8 weeks. Also, more expensive than bonded (glue)extensions. Bonded extensions last about a week, take from

30 min to 3 hours to apply and are relatively painless. Remember, have all services performed by a liscenced cosmetologist, and ask if real or synthetic hair is used (synthetic cannot be exposed to heat styling, color, or chemical servies but is significantly cheaper, it does not match caucasian hair texture well at all though) Finally, have your stylist take a discreet hair clipping before purchasing hair to match color and texture precisely and consider going somewhere that offers free consultations before making any decisions.

I have sewn-in ones now. They didn't take that long to put in though...about and hour. I've had them from early January and just had them retouched last weekend. I really like it!
