It depends on what kind you get. Clip-in ones area probably the easiest to maintain since you can just take them out everyday. But the human hair ones (the ones you can curl and straighten) are going to cost more than the synthetic ones (cant do anything but comb it a little).

I would say if you have a fine grade of hair if you just have to get extensions be very careful. The price varies on color, length, and brand. It can run you anywhere from $20.00 to $80.00 and in some cases even higher.Most times companies don't put as much hair in the bags so you may have to buy two bags depending on how thick/big you want your hair. Even check to see if the hair store sales half bags. As long as you have human hair you can do anything to it that you do to your own hair. You have different options of getting the extensions placed into your hair: bonded ( which if you can prevent this option...do!) sew it in, weft, stocking cap. The person above is pretty much right. I have human hair extensions and I can wash, curl or straighten. Price depends on the type pf hair you get (human hair being most expensive). I think you can buy the hair clip extensions at Sally's Beauty Supply or some other beauty supply store. If you get them at a salon, prices vary so do your homework.
