Do ya'll know anything about the Great Length hair extentions? And do you have to go to a salon

Great lengths are individual human hair extensions bonded to you hair. It can run about 800 to 1200. If you are looking for a more natural way of extensions this is the way to go. Another company that has the same extensions but a lot safer for the hair is call socap.

Check out there website at www.socapusa.com

The only thing I've ever heard is that hair extensions are just really bad for your hair and don't last.

Great Lengths are awesome, I used to work at a salon ( so yes a pro has to do it for you) that specializes in extentions. As far as how damaging they are, that's up to you and how you care for them. You must use a bristle brush with them and you must blow dry your hair so as to prevent mold from growing in the seal that is used to attach to your hair. Call Great Lenghts they can direct you to a Salon in your area and diffinetly go in for a FREE consultation! Good Luck

It depends on what type of hair extension you purchase. Some of the extensions just have a clip, in which you clip to your hair. the other type of extension has to be weaved into your hair or glued with special hair glue. If you know a person which knows how to weave hair then you will not need to go to the salon. I do not think you have to go to the salon to glue the extension, though you still may want to have a professional put the extension in.
